About this place
Gidan Dan Hausa was the residence of Hanns Vischer, the colonial education officer known locally as Dan Hausa, and is one of the earliest buildings in Kano to combine Hausa and European construction. It is preserved as a house museum with displays on Hausa building traditions, language and daily life.
