About
You should be able to see where a fact came from, when we checked it, and how to tell us if it is wrong.
VisitAfrica is being developed to help people discover Africa through credible local knowledge, cultural context, community perspectives and practical information. The review process below is the standard the platform is being built towards; where a page has not yet been through every step, it is presented as an illustrative example rather than a verified record.
Information starts with people who live, work or study in the place.
Someone with subject knowledge checks it before we publish.
Anything that can change carries a named source and a reference year.
Every page shows its review date and how to request a correction.
Entry rules, advisories, prices, opening hours and event dates change. If something on VisitAfrica is out of date or inaccurate, tell us and we will review it against the original source.
