About this place
Sumu occupies wooded savannah north-west of Bauchi, developed by the state as a conservation and visitor park with tracks, viewing points and lodging. Antelope, primates, ostrich and a steady list of savannah birds are the usual sightings, and the low ridges give long views across the bush at either end of the day. It is far less visited than Yankari, which is much of its appeal.
