About this place
The Marshall Caves are a series of chambers and shelters worn into the sandstone escarpment near Bogoro, in the hill country where Bauchi meets Plateau. Local accounts describe their use as refuge during periods of conflict, and the site carries archaeological interest for early settlement in the region. The walk in crosses farmland and rising ground, and the cliff-top views over the valley are as much a reason to come as the caves themselves.
