District profile

Victoria Island
Victoria Island is the commercial and diplomatic centre of Lagos, built on reclaimed land between the lagoon and the Atlantic.
Why stay here: Galleries, restaurants, embassies and the city's business addresses are concentrated in a few walkable blocks.
Atmosphere: Corporate and busy on weekdays, relaxed and social in the evenings and at weekends.
Compact enough to walk between blocks; ride-hailing covers the rest. Traffic peaks on the Falomo and Lekki–Epe corridors.
