Kyabobo National Park was established in 1993 in the Nkwanta district and is managed by Ghana's Forestry Commission. It protects a transition zone between forest and savanna, rises to Mount Kyabobo at 873 metres, and adjoins Fazao-Malfacassa National Park across the border in Togo, forming a shared cross-border ecosystem.
